A - Z of things that made this year bearable: L is for Looking for Alaska by John Green
Oh my. Looking for Alaska was a sensation of a book. Another must read. I was hooked the minute I started reading. It is such a great story and you get so emotionally attached to the characters in it, it’s heartbreaking.
And John Green has truly been an inspiration for me this year. Oh, great Nerdfighter! I wrote a novel this year and having just read Looking for Alaska, it was a large part in what motivated me to keep writing. And when I recieved the NaNoWriMo pep talk from John Green, I absolutely loved it. It was so encouraging and really, I owe a lot of my finishing my novel to it.
A - Z of things that made this year bearable: K is for Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games.
My ‘H’ was already taken, but I had to include the Hunger Games on my list. One of the best books I read in 2010 BY FAR, and possibly one of my favorite books ever. If you have not read them, DO IT. NOW. This trilogy is filled with awesomeness on all levels and will keep you reading nonstop from the moment your eyes hit the first page. I don’t know how I held out without reading these books for so long.

A - Z of things that made this year bearable: I is for Inception.
The greatest mindfuck of the year and an awesome film.

A - Z of things that made this year bearable: G is for Graduation
No, it didn’t actually happen yet, but thinking about it was enough to make this year bearable.

A - Z of things that made this year bearable: E is for Employment
Yeah, I couldn’t really think of something that started with E. But employment did really make this year more bearable when it was around. My mom didn’t have a job and my dad lost his job last year around November or something. Then he had a job for a few months which really made things easier, even if he lost it again later. Then my mom found a job. Things still aren’t easy financially, but it’s better to just have any employment. And hopefully I can find a job in 2011.
